C. Patrick Tench
PARTNERBorn and raised in Newport News, Patrick is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation, insurance, business, real estate and corporate law. He has built a reputation for providing insightful legal guidance and strategic counsel to a diverse range of clients. Patrick’s career spans almost two decades, during which he has held significant roles including Associate General Counsel at a large international company, where he led nationwide liability claims and litigation teams, For years prior to that role, he was as a partner at Jones, Blechman, Woltz & Kelly, P.C., and Chairman of the firm’s Litigation Group, specializing in plaintiff and defense litigation throughout Virginia courts.
Patrick’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of legal areas, including business and real estate litigation, personal injury, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, wills/trusts/estate litigation, general civil and commercial litigation and liability, criminal defense, employment and labor issues, landlord and tenant and contractual matters. Patrick’s approach combines professionalism and aggressive representation with a friendly demeanor, making him a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues alike.
Outside of his legal practice, he is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys reading, and follows sports such as the NFL (Pittsburgh Steelers) and EPL (Newcastle United). Patrick lives in Newport News with his wife, stepdaughter and pack of rescue animals.
